Richard A. Smith passed away in Christiana Hospital on March 3, 2012.

He was a native Delawarean and served his country proudly as an Army veteran of World War II.

Richard graduated from University of Delaware. After graduation he was employed as a manager for Wilmington Wholesale until his retirement. He was then employed by Brooks, which later became Garda.

He is preceded in death by a brother, Thomas. Richard is survived by two sisters, Josephine Sweeney and Theresa Smith; two nieces; one nephew; two grand-nieces and three grand-nephews.

Services and burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
