Lucy Mae Bartholomew, 81, of Middletown, DE and formerly of Bear, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 24, 2012 at Pinnacle Rehabilitation and Health Center in Smyrna, DE.

Born on July 9, 1930 in Chester, PA, she was the daughter of the late Cecil R. and Eva (Meeds) West.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Arthur Bartholomew in 1992 and a daughter, Janice Morlan, in 2003.

She leaves many cherished memories to her two loving and devoted children, Arthur R. “Bart” Bartholomew and his wife, Betty, of Bear and Pat Delaney and her husband, Doug, of Middletown, two grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.

Graveside services will be held privately at Edgewood Memorial Park in Glen Mills, PA, where Mrs. Bartholomew will be laid to rest beside her husband.
