Byllie J. Moore

Byllie Jane (Latham) Moore passed away peacefully at the age of 88 on Friday, June 1, 2012 at Elkton Care and Rehabilitation Center where she lived.

Byllie was born in Bagwell, Texas on February 4, 1924. She was a homemaker, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She loved sewing, crewel needle work, camping, square dancing and ballroom dancing. Byllie travelled extensively with her husband across the United States, Mexico, Europe, Australia and New Zealand.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Oral Preston Moore.

Byllie is survived by a daughter, Cynthia Emerson and husband, Donald; a son, Steven P. Moore and wife Lori; grandchildren, Stacie (Emerson) Boyer and husband, Bill and their children, Aiden, Owen and Wyatt, Tamie (Emerson) Hotchkiss and husband, Derek and their children Jakob, Devon, Nathan and Gavin, D. Chandler Emerson, Jr. and wife, Dawn and their children, Preston and Aubrie, and Amanda (Moore) Becerra and husband, Ricardo and their children, Diego and Enrique, and Mikhail P. Moore.

The family would like to thank the staff at Elkton Care and Rehab and her roommate Trish Vicenti for their loving attention and support for the last few years.

Byllie’s family and friends already miss her dearly.

Funeral services will be held 2 pm on Monday, June 4 in the chapel at Gracelawn Memorial Park, 2220 N. DuPont Parkway, New Castle, DE, where friends may visit with Byllie’s family one hour prior to services. Entombment will follow in adjoining cemetery.

In appreciation for the wonderful care Byllie received, memorial contributions can be made to Seasons Hospice and Palliative Care, 133 N. Bridge St. 3rd floor, Elkton, MD 21921.
