Thomas Michael “Tom” Best, 51, of Wilmington, DE passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, June 27, 2012.

Born on October 16, 1960 in Upper Darby, PA, he was the son of Brigitte E. (Prange) Best and the late William Patrick Best. Tom worked at Howard High School of Technology for several years. He was an avid Eagles fan, thoroughly enjoyed music and playing his guitar and will be remembered fondly as an excellent chef.

He was preceded in death by his father, Bill Best, on January 19, 2012.

Tom is survived by his loving mother, Brigitte; two children, Patrick and Colleen Best; his siblings, Susan Pedersen and her husband, Alan, William “Bill” Best, Jr. and his wife, Ingrid, Terry Ecenrode and her husband, Kevin and Kathleen D’Amico and her husband, Anthony; as well as many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held 11 am on Tuesday, July 3 at Daniels & Hutchison Funeral Home LLC, 212 N. Broad Street in Middletown, where friends may visit with Tom’s family from 10-11 am. Inurnment will follow in Old Drawyers Cemetery, near Odessa.
