John Harvey “Jack” Coulbourne, Sr., 78 of Laurel, DE and formerly of Chincoteague, VA passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 28, 2012 at the Delaware Hospice Center in Milford.

Born on June 5, 1934 in Carneys Point, NJ, he was the son of the late Kathryn (Morrissey) and Houston Thomas Coulbourn.

Jack proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy.

He retired from DuPont Company in Carneys Point, NJ after 32 years of dedicated service.

Jack is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Barbara (Estes) Coulbourne; four children, John Coulbourne, Jr. and his wife Nancy of Middletown, DE, Dorothy Coulbourne of Laurel, DE, Debbie Carey and her husband John of Galena, MD and Paul Coulbourne of New Castle, DE; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren, as well as by three sisters and two brothers, all of New Jersey.

Committal services with Navy honors will be held 2 pm on Thursday, August 2 at Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 2465 Chesapeake City Road in Bear, DE.

Memorial contributions can be made to the Delaware Hospice Center, 100 Patriots Way, Milford, DE 19963.
